So, it officially happened.  It seemed as if it would take forever to happen, but alas,  Martha finally has a car.  I got a  '07 Dodge Caliber.  It was wrecked and restored so I got it for $8,500.  Considering a new Dodge Caliber is 16K, that's a really good deal.  It has 23K miles on it and the only thing that doesn't work is the cruise control.  But that can be fixed easily.  It is a burnt orange color that is officially called "sun peel orange." lol

I'll post some pictures of it on here.  What do you think?

This is my favorite to show the color of the car.

  • Atlanta Acquire the Fire

Soo, I'm more than super-uber-duber excited.  I get the great joy of going to the Atlanta ATF with Liz Ring and Ryan Stinson (Stinny's younger bro) to see Brian Boyd and Erin McConnell.   Brian (Keith) was one of my closest guy friends when was in my undergrad year at the Honor Academy and since then has grown to be the closest one.  We all get the opportunity of staying at his house and spending time with his family as well as getting to go to his church.  We are driving down on Thursday May 8th and driving back Monday May 12.  And I even wish it was longer.  I plan to be very blessed by this awesome group of people and take many pictures and have many stories to tell.  So.. expect some awesome posting after I return.    Although I might post on here before then.  I hope you guys are having an awesome time what ever it is that you have been up to lately.  You can tell me how ya' been if ya' want!

Muncie, In Acquire the Fire = AMAZING!

Sooo.   I had one AMAZING weekend.  I went to the Muncie, Indiana ATF with my Ohio friend (from the HA) Liz Ring.  We had uber amounts of fun.  Because we are both such Teen Mania junkies we ended up helping out with the event.  Went backstage and saw all of our stellar MT and Swat and Support buddies.  Brie, (the Warehouse girl)  was the one we ended up helping out with the most, mostly because Liz knew her from volunteering at the South campus this past summer.    I got some awesome pics and videos from the event.  I'll post them after this.  The Lord really drew His heart into mine through the events of this weekend.  I love it when He does that.  Awesomeness.  :0)  I even gave a Taco Bell drive-tru worker a DVD.  I pray that someone(s) life gets touched through it.  I am so thankful that my heart is still tender enough to hear the voice of God.  I thank Him for that.

Also, awesome news.  I FINALLY got a job.  I work at a marketing research company called Issues and Answers.  I work in a call center .. making calls, obviously, lol.  I have worked two days and so far I think I am going to enjoy it.  It is an amazing opportunity to pray for many people without them knowing, lol.  While I dial each number I pray for the person who lives at this phone or even used to, (if it's disconnected.)  And also I have a chance to bring them some joy an happiness in their lives.  One of the musts of the company is kindness.  That I am Very happy about.  It makes it much easier.  The research we have been doing is about children heath care in a certain area in the US.  I am happy to be able to make a difference in this in America.

On that note, What would be your Ideal Job?

PS.  I am sitting here eating some HoHo's that I got from my local VP (Village Pantry.)  It's reminding me of my older sister and how she used to eat the shell of the chocolate before consuming the insides.. lol.. funny memories.

ANYWAY  .... ... ..  Here are some pictures and videos of the Amazing Fun-ness of the weekend.

BELOW:  They gave everyone cardboard covered in tin foil and then had them hold it up to show how our light (the light of Jesus in us) reflects out to the world.  And if we all let our light shine and didn't hide it, how much of a difference we could make.  We all need eachother to show our lights to light up the world for Jesus.  (and a short video of it below as well)

    SLEDDING

OHHH.. I just uploaded my ENTIRE POST.. and I was checking the videos to make sure that they were working and at the end of the video I dumbly clicked on a suggested video and it opened up a new window inside of my post and covered up everything.. with no return.  BLAH.. don't ever do it!  It's a stupid idea.  Anyway.

Here we go again...    Priscilla, Tabitha, Stephanie (a friend of P's), and myself went sledding yesterday evening.  It was really fun.  Short-lived, but fun none the less.  I took pictures and a couple of short videos... and here they are:

    Priscilla and Stephanie

Them gabbing as usual.  They are worse than two old women sometimes. lol JK

    IMG_0729

Priscilla fell on the icy ground.  I caught the aftermath.

    Tabitha in all her cuteness.

Priscilla and Stephanie make it to the top of the hill.

    Tabitha soon follows.

I got a couple nice shots of the beautiful sunset against the icy ground.

And now for the videos.  I braved my trusty camera with me on the way down.

I was talking in a funny accent in this one.. uh, french maybe?  I dunno.. I'm weird. lol

HAHA.. I was screaming with joy and goofiness.  I crashed and burned at the end.

Yup.  So that's about it.  Hope you had fun looking and watching.   How have all of your snow adventures gone?  I hope fun-like.

(PS.  To all ya'll southerners... the items in which we are clothed in are called "snow suits"   you've probably never seen one before, lol.. This is what northerners wear while playing in the snow.)

    Kina Grannis

While watching history in the making aka Superbowl 42 where the Giants won!!!  woo hoo go Manning bro's!  I happen to see an ad after the first quarter with a singer who's voice captured my attention so much that I scrambled to write down the name and song.  After the SB was over I went to my trusty computer and I looked it up.  Kina Grannis is a 22 yr old singer/songwriter from California. (who happens to be half japanese which I think is soso awesome because I love almost Japanese everything because of taking Japanese as my foreign language in high school) After watching the video over that was aired after the 1st quarter I could tell that she had major talent and potential.  "Message From Your Heart" is one of the most original songs I have heard in a long time and I am very impressed with the feeling and soul that she puts into her songs and singing.  Even a funny one "Gotta Digg" about a blogging site is so catchy that it makes me want to listen to it again.  It makes me want to clap, lol.  She comes across so genuine and likable.  Not arrogant and prideful like a lot of artists everywhere.  I hope and pray to God that she stays so gentle and "innocent" and doesn't change into a yucky artist.  Anyway here are some of her cute videos and the one that was aired on the Super Bowl.

I hope that she is a God fearer and she goes far with this talent the Lord has given her. I have not been able to find out any direct views from her on God and religion.  I hope that she is a follower of Christ, but if not, I hope she will be soon.    lol  She is really sweet though.  From winning the contest that Doritos put together to make some ones dream a reality Kina now has a record deal with Interscope Records.  Awesome for her.  She's going to make some pretty original and awesome music.  You go girl!

Maybe some day when I learn how to play guitar I will to a cover on "Message From Your Heart."  That would make me really happy.
